Farringdon Community Academy is a co-educational secondary school with academy status, located in the suburb of Farringdon in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, England.
The school was built along with the estate of Farringdon in 1956. The school has undergone a number of changes, including the construction of new blocks of classrooms and a sports hall.
Farringdon Community Academy benefits from state-of-the-art facilities including a large sports hall, a large floodlit 3G pitch, and swimming pool as well as other sporting and non-sporting facilities. The facilities allow us to provide students with a full range of sporting activities within extra-curricular activities and within the curriculum.
Additionally, the outstanding school facilities are used extensively by the school and local community. We have a diverse portfolio of clubs and activities running every evening and during the weekend.
Facilities include: 3G football pitch, classrooms, dance studios, fitness suite, gymnasium, learning zone, main hall, meeting room, MUGA, sports hall and swimming pool.
Our sports lettings are open 7 days a week and extended opening hours during school holidays with our friendly staff are always available to help.
